DESCRIPTION:
Cafe Zuccu is a cafe renovated from a 150-year-old traditional house. Inside the cafe, many pieces of antique furniture are displayed and there are various kinds of books to read. It all combines to make a unique and relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
MENU DETAILS:
The lunch set menu is a real bargain. There are three options. Hayashi rice, spaghetti and toasted sandwich. The spaghetti and toasted sandwich change monthly. We ate:
Scabbard fish pasta in tomato sauce with black olives,
Chicken salsa sandwich, Hayashi rice, Green tea cheesecake,
Chocolate cake with nuts, Apple and sweet potato tart
INTERIOR:
The interior of Cafe Zuccu is full of antique and vintage items, a vast array of books and unique objects.
ACCESS:
Access: Take a city loop bus from Kintetsu Nara station and get off at Wariishi-cho bus stop. It takes about a minute on foot to Cafe Zuccu from there. It takes 16 minutes on foot from our facility.

DESCRIPTION:
Quiche specialty restaurant located near the world heritage primeval forest in the Nara Park. The building is renovated from a traditional tea house. The quiches are made with organic vegetables and local ingredients wherever possible. Quiches are also available for takeout.
MENU DETAILS:
There are two lunch options. ①Soup of potatoes and fried ginger, salad, choice of quiche (seasonal vegetables and gorgonzola, potatoes and sausages, beef and carrots, bacon and spinach, four kinds of cheese), with one of coffee, tea or apple juice
②Same menu with risotto and beef stew.
LUNCH INGREDIENTS:
Their quiches are made with whole-wheat flour, rye wheat, fermented butter, and organic eggs and organic vegetables.
ACCESS:
Located between Nigatsu-do Hall and Kasuga Taisha Shrine, just a 5-minute walk from a bus stop “Kasuga-taisha Honden” or “Nara Kasugano International Forum IRAKA”.

DESCRIPTION:
Rokkan Room is a cafe renovated from a former “okiya” (house where geisha used to live) which was built more than 100 years ago. It is a culturally valuable building that combines art and design by making use of space that was originally an earthen floor, a storehouse, and an air-raid shelter in the basement.
MENU DETAILS:
Our lunch consisted of Nyumen noodles topped with a keema curry fried tofu pouch, Keema curry, Cheese cake, "Purin" pudding made with local eggs, Persimmon enzyme syrup soda and iced coffee.
DESIGN:
Rokkan rom also has a select shop and a gallery. The walls are adorned with interesting art pieces and there are several book shelves filled with all manner of art & design books.

DESCRIPTION:
A Japanese-style restaurant and cafe run by Kasuga-taisha Shrine along the approach to the shrine. Their specialty Man’yo-gayu rice porridge is served with seasonal vegetables related to the Man’yo luster, and has an elegant flavor made with kombu dashi and white miso. There are also sweets such as mugwort dumplings, zenzai, and kudzumochi. On sunny days, you can enjoy a meal while feeling the change of seasons in the garden seats full of seasonal flowers and trees.
