The friendly husband-and-wife team who own the bar offer a fabulous selection of whiskey, craft gin, and even homemade plum liquor (ume-shu). The owner has studied and traveled extensively around the world, and the staff warmly welcome international guests, making Bar Amberjack. a hub for cross-cultural communication.

As the name suggests, the owner of Bar Amberjack. and his wife love fishing. Whatever they catch will invariably end up on their menu - especially in their popular fish & chips offering - of which the potatoes are home grown. If they haven't been able to catch the fish they desire, the chips can be served with chicken instead. High quality cigars are also on offer.

Ichiraku is one of the most unique establishments in Nara. Great food and friendly service is par for the course in Nara, but what sets Ichiraku apart is the interior. It retains much of the paraphernalia that it initially had when it was first opened in 1954.

DESCRIPTION:
Savant is one of the most stylish authentic bars in Nara. Converted from a 100-year-old town house, the bar doesn't even have a sign board outside, further adding to the air of exclusivity. Savant has an exquisite bar counter made out of a single piece of timber and a somewhat secluded side room for a small party of four.
MENU DETAILS:
Bar Savant has an impressive collection of spirits and whiskeys and a nice selection of beer on tap, including craft beers. Some food to complement your drinks is available, but nothing like what you'd call a meal.
ACCESS:
Bar Savant can be found just off Mochidonodori Shopping Arcade. There is no signboard outside, so a little bravery is required to first enter. When you do, you'll step into a dark entrance way which has a small door to the right to enter.

Nara Sakegura Nabe is a renovated townhouse offering a tranquil setting for dining. As the name suggests, this restaurant specializes in Nabe, or Japanese hot pots. Their signature hot pot uses a special sake lees from Nara's breweries blended it with a rich broth made from Nara's Yamato chicken bones, bonito, and kombu to create our original sake lees broth. Another popular item is the Sakoshi Oysters from Sakoshi Bay, Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture.

With meats being provided directly from their own ranch, Geihinkan is able to serve amazingly high-quality beef at very reasonable prices. They only source healthy female cows classified as A5 with a BMS (Beef Marbling Standard) of 8 or higher, known as premium beef. They use hydrogen water in their cooking maximizing the natural appeal of the ingredients.
